Perfection is the motor of my life. I thrive to deliver beyond my own expectations. I do a lot to get everything right on the first attempt. I work hard. I think, I plan and I execute with precision. I am result driven.
The beauty of inspiration.
Accessing inspiration is directly linked to being aware of you feelings. On days when life rolls over me and I don’t access my inner self very well, or in worst cases at all, I am unable to experience inspiration that potentially might bubble up inside.

I live in Bangkok and I love this time of the year. It’s the time when the sky is blue, the sun is shining, it is hot but not too hot and the air is clean. It’s the time when the wind usually carries in huge grey rain clouds, which eventually turn into fascinating tropical monsoon rains.
Our time is unrenewable.
We spend approximately 72,000 hours working in our lives. That is an accumulation of 40 years, 45 weeks, 8 hours and 5 days and roughly 33% of our lifetime from 25-65 years of age. Now, imagine you’re 38 years old, you’re “OK” with what you’re doing for work.

We all know that we shouldn’t compare ourselves to others, yet many of us still do. Unknowingly. We compare our body shapes, our clothes, our careers, our holiday destinations, our parenting style, our kids, our cars, our houses, and whatever else. We do this subconsciously.
Fear of Financial Insecurity
One of the main reasons we avoid changing our path in life in pursuit of what we love is because we feel a sense of fear about our future financials. Choosing to live a life as a corporate employee is one ideal response to this fear.
Today I choose courage over comfort.
Taking a step towards something unknown in life is often attached with fears and worries. It takes courage to overcome those fears and worries. Being courageous and doing something unfamiliar makes us vulnerable. It risks that we fail.
Are you the freshwater fish in the salt water?
The other day one of my clients made a wonderful comparison of what salt- and fresh water fishes have in common with living life as the true authentic self.
Saltwater fish do well in saltwater, but not in fresh water. Fresh water fish do well in fresh water, but not in saltwater.
Nainoa Thompson’s – the art of non instrumental wayfinding
This is what it looks and feels like when you work at the center of your feelings and inner intelligences: Nainoa Thompson is a Hawai’ian man, lead navigator for the polynesian voyaging society’s oceangoing canoe (Hokule’a) and trained in non instrumental navigation art of “wayfinding”.
Dealing with someone else’s anger. Or protecting our own true authentic selves.
Anger is related to personal space, about who we are, how we do things and how we define ourselves. Those are our boundaries. They are individual and sacred pillars for our authentic personality. What if, it is not our own anger we’re dealing with.

Dr. Seuss’s ‘Oh, all the places you’ll go’ is one of my favourite books for children. It. Is. Simply. Amazing. It’s a tribute to the dreams in our lives. The belief that each one of us has the potential to fulfill their wildest dreams and to don’t give up on to them.
Reflections of change
It’s the 8th of April. Here we are. In quarantine. Leaving the condo grounds only for groceries. Once a week. The days are long. And my toddler has changed. My toddler is not exhausted anymore. She barely sleeps during the day, ever since quarantine started.

Being an expat is al lot about meeting all kinds of people. We meet them, we get to know them, we enjoy that very moment together and eventually create a bond and become real friends. Friends are family in a life where most of our families aren’t with us on a daily base.
